XENIA — Two undefeated Greene County football teams are ranked in the state’s top 10 this week.
Xenia is eighth in Division II and Greeneview is in a tie for ninth in D-V in the latest polls released by Associated Press members on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers moved up two spots from a week ago after a 43-7 win against Fairborn on Friday. Xenia more than doubled the amount of voting points it received and has maintained one first place vote in all four weeks a poll has been released this season.
Greeneview is back in the top after being 10th two weeks ago before dropping one spot out last week. The Rams defeated Greenon 27-0 on Saturday and are tied with Preble Shawnee in the rankings after gaining 15 additional voting points and also maintaining a first place vote for the fourth straight week.
Bellbrook also appears in the receiving votes section for D-III teams, gaining one more voting point this week. The Golden Eagles have won five straight after a loss in week one.
