XENIA — The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help in identifying a male suspect involved in a breaking and entering case in Xenia Township.

According to a Monday morning release from the law enforcement office, a white male subject broke into a local veterinary office in Xenia Township Sept. 27 and stole a cash register from the business’s counter before fleeing the scene. According to the time stamps on surveillance images released by the sheriff’s office, the break-in occurred at about 9:30 p.m. that Sunday.

“Surveillance footage shows the suspect arriving, taking the cash register and leaving,” the release stated. “The vehicle appears to be a light-colored Chevrolet Blazer.”

Greene County Sheriff’s Office Detective Kyle Metz declined to release the name of the specific business that was broken into and said that the amount of money taken in the register is still being processed.

Metz estimated the suspect to be around 6 feet tall, 185 pounds and placed him in the 20s-30s age range.

Individuals with information on the incident should contact Metz at 937-562-4813.
