JAMESTOWN — A Jamestown home was destroyed in a fire Monday afternoon. The fire that destroyed the house, which was located in the 4100 block of Navajo Trail, is said to have started in a garage before spreading to the rest of the home.

According to information from a fire official on the scene, the owner of the home, identified as Matt Webster, was the only person in the house when it caught fire. Webster was reportedly taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries and was expected to be OK.

Crews arrived on the scene of the fire around 1 p.m. to find the house fully involved in flames. The house was deemed a total loss.

The 3,500-square-foot house, which sits just off Shawnee Lake, was listed for sale online for $355,000.
