JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Area Historical Society has opened a handicap-accessible media room on the street level of the Opera House.

The room is equipped with a large screen TV receiving live feeds from performances in the auditorium, and is only for wheelchairs plus one companion and persons physically unable to climb the steps. The first show featuring media room availability is Diane McCall Friday, June 17.

The capacity is 20 and seats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $10. Tickets are available at Ted’s Barber Shop.

McCall, her band Hometown, and Washington Court House native, John Crabtree, begin 6:30 p.m. There are 38 reserved seats for $20, which include a meet-and-greet with McCall at 5:30 p.m. Show tickets are $15 and are available at Ted’s Barber Shop, Kilbarger Insurance, Something New Florist and Bentino’s Pizza.
