Fairborn to graduate 235

FAIRBORN — Two hundred thirty five students will exchange their high school senior status for graduate status at Fairborn High School’s commencement ceremony 7 p.m. Friday, May 21 at the Wright State University Nutter Center.

Forty students will graduate with honors; 35 have been inducted into the National Honor Society, while one has been inducted into the National Technical Honor Society.

Madelyn Wardle, Michael Beiring and Sarah Miller will serve as valedictorians, while Adele Bowling will serve as salutatorian.

Wardle has attended Fairborn City Schools since kindergarten and got involved in the varying musical groups throughout her high school years. She plans to attend the Ohio State University in the fall and will explore different career field options.

Beiring moved to the district in 2003. He plans to attend the Ohio State University to major in computer and electical engineering and participate in its Army ROTC program. After college, he wishes to complete four required years in the Army, then later decide if he would like to finish out his career as an officer or be an engineer for a domestic company.

Miller participated in multiple capacities throughout high school, serving as her class historian and treasurer and in student congress, prom committee, the leo, interact and spanish clubs, after-school orchestra, golf, among others. Upon graduating high school, she plans to attend the University of Dayton, where she will double-major in computer and electrical engineering.

Commencement will begin 7 p.m. Friday, May 20 at the Wright State University Nutter Center.
