Career students qualify for state conference

XENIA – The Greene County Career Center’s International Business and Finance and Information Technology programs combined to send eight students through the Business Professionals of America Region 15 Leadership Conference and on to the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Columbus. Qualifying for a chance to advance through the state level and on to nationals were Andrew Powers, Matthew Madsen, Micah Gates, Kyle Little, Taylor Grooms, Jacob Snoeberger, Andrew Worthington and Dalton Ballard.

The Ohio State Leadership Conference will be held in Columbus March 17-18.

Region 15 results are:

– Andrew Powers of Xenia and Matthew Madson of Beavercreek, Administrative Support Team, 1st place

– Kyle Little of Beavercreek and Micah Gates of Xenia, Administrative Support Team, 2nd place

– Micah Gates of Xenia, Advanced Word Processing Skills, 1st place

– Taylor Grooms of Xenia, Banking and Finance, 1st place

– Jacob Snoeberger of Beavercreek, Banking and Finance, 2nd place and Human Resource Management, 1st place

– Andrew Worthington of Xenia, Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications, 1st place

– Dalton Ballard of Fairborn, Visual Basic/C# Programming, 2nd place

– Terry Winhoven of Bellbrook, Dylan Bailey of Yellow Springs, Nathan Dale of Xenia and Eric Flinn of Xenia, Presentation Management, Team, 3rd place

– Alexander Bishop of Beavercreek, Kasey Gilliland of Beavercreek and Austin Stephens of Xenia, Web Site Design Team, 2nd place
