U.S. 35 reopens three hours after crash

BEAVERCREEK TOWNSHIP — A three-vehicle accident on westbound U.S. Route 35 disrupted traffic throughout Greene County Monday morning. The accident occurred on the highway near Shakertown Road in Beavercreek Township at about 5:30 a.m. and involved a semi and two other motor vehicles.

Only minor injuries were reported in association with the accident, according to Beavercreek police information.

Both lanes of U.S. 35 were closed until about 8:30 a.m. while crews cleaned up the scene. Traffic on U.S. 35 was diverted to Dayton-Xenia and other nearby roads, causing congestion and delays throughout commuter and school traffic.

Further information about the cause of the crash was unavailable as of press time Monday.
