XENIA — Two Cincinnati men were arrested Monday in connection with an early morning shooting in the 800 block of East Main Street.

Klain Gibson, 19, and De’Eric Gill, 20, are in the Greene County Jail and will face felony charges according to Xenia Police Captain Alonzo Wilson. Gibson is being charged with first-degree felonious assault, while Gill is being charged with third-degree complicity to felonious assault.

Police said the two suspects were involved in an argument with Gregory Smith, of Xenia. Smith was shot in the chest and then the suspects fled the residence in a vehicle, according to police.

A witness at the home was able to give police a description of the vehicle in which the alleged suspects were fleeing and Xenia Police were able to locate the vehicle a short distance away and take the two into custody without incident. Smith was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by the Xenia Fire Division and is currently listed in stable condition.

Wilson said police are still investigating.
