Two die in Yellow Springs crash

YELLOW SPRINGSThe Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed two individuals early Saturday morning.

James Acree, 36, of Louisiana, was driving his sister Valerie Acree, 24, of Fairborn, in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Dayton Street in Yellow Springs approximately 12:27 a.m. Saturday, June 25. According to witnesses, James Acree passed a vehicle, lost control, went off the right side of the roadway and struck two traffic signs and a culvert, forcing the vehicle to roll to its top.

The pair of siblings died as a result of their injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is considering alcohol and speed as factors in the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.
