Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

YELLOW SPRINGS — The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Yellow Springs is hosting “Thanksgiving Day Reconsidered” 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at its facility, 2884 US Route 68, two miles south of Yellow Springs. This program is the beginning of many discussions among Unitarian Universalists and other religious groups to confront the suffering, indignities and losses that Native Peoples have endured since the early 1600s.

While approaching the Plymouth Colony’s quadricentenniual date, all UU’s are encouraged to enter a time of education, careful reflection and healing. The discussion will be facilitated by Joan Chappelle. Everyone is welcome; youth programming is available during the service for preschool through sixth graders. A spiritual discussion on ethics will begin 9:15 a.m., followed by choir practice at 9:45 — inviting everyone to attend the discussion and practice. Coffee, tea, snacks and conversation will follow the program beginning at 11:45; a social justice committee meeting will begin at noon.
