One of the top rated TV shows winning Friday nights most weeks is “Shark Tank”. The show offers a panel of four wealthy entrepreneurial investors. Individuals with their business plans and inventions just starting out, and who would love to eventually be like the successful panel members, are paraded before the group. They do their best to persuade the money men (and women) to invest in their ventures.

Any idea why this show is so popular? Because, despite what “Robin Hood” Obama and his Merry Men would have you believe, the great American dream of hard work, and the potential of great reward, is still alive and thriving in this country.

Obama and liberals campaigned on, and govern on the idea that the concept of “spread the wealth” or now “income equality” is what Americans really want. And to be sure, with the disappearance of a work ethic, being replaced by entitlement programs, the number of folks with their hand out and not a drop of sweat on their brow is growing.

Rather than use the wisdom, experience and determination of these giants in the business world to better our economy, the focus of Democrats inside halls of Congress and the White House is to rob from those rich, and give to the poor; forcing dependence on big government and ensuring reelection for politicians who run that huge government machine. It also guarantees the downfall of capitalism and the free market system which is what has made America great, and given each of us the opportunity to be all we can be.

Without a change in the growing mindset of getting something for nothing, entrepreneurship will ride off into the sunset. Why go through the hard work and risk if you’ll end up struggling just like those who choose to sit back and do nothing with their lives? Socialism has been proven to be a failure and will destroy governments.

Unfortunately the only way to allow the market to work as it should without high taxes and penalties means voting the entire band of Merry Men (and women) out of Sherwood Forest (Washington) and replacing them with individuals who get what it is to reward creativity and penalize laziness. It’s the only way to dig ourselves out of this economic pit. Want to help? See to it that those values are instilled in our children. It’s an investment in our future.
