XENIA —- Get ready to hit the trails - safely - this spring by attending the Greene County Parks & Trails Trail Sentinel “Traffic Skills 101,” a new two-part program that will cover bicycle basics, emergency maneuvers, derailleur adjustments, role of cyclists in traffic and much more.
The two-part program will be held 5:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, March 21 and 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Xenia Station, 150 Miami Ave. The program will repeat on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, with the same times and location. The program will be conducted by Greene County Parks & Trails Trail Sentinel Richard Tool, who is a certified cycling instructor.
The two-part program costs $35 per participant; you must be 15 years or older to participate. If the participant is under 17 years old, a parent must be present and a parental permission form must be completed. Pre-registration required.
