XENIA — Harold and Rosemary (Simason) Fawley celebrated their 60-year anniversary recently with a trip to Italy and a family and friends gathering at the home of their daughter. They were married on Dec. 11, 1953 at the First Methodist Church on West Second St., by Rev. Nobel M. Rompel.
Harold Fawley is retired from Dayton Power and Light after 34 years and his wife retired from Antioch University after 28 years. Rosemary Fawley has been actively involved with the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center in Xenia since her retirement.
They have two children: Michael Fawley and Jane and Michael McClelland. They have four grandchildren: Jessica McClelland Freeman of Cumming, Ga., Emily McClelland Anders, Eliza Fawley and Jonathan Fawley, all of Xenia and two great-grandchildren – Wheeler Freeman of Cumming, Ga. and Wyatt Anders of Xenia.
