FAIRBORN — A dump truck accident closed the Dayton-Yellow Springs Road ramp to I-675 north for three hours Monday afternoon and evening.

The dump truck which caused the closure damaged a portion of the guard railing along the ramp, spilling some of its contents onto the road. This combination forced troopers to close the ramp.

Ohio State Patrol Trooper Paige Miranda said the driver of the vehicle stated he had hit something but that an investigation did not confirm the story. A blown tire appears to be what sent the truck into the guard rail.

A published report lists the driver as Steve Tyson. Miranda said the driver was not hurt and was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle.
