BEAVERCREEK — According to published reports, an Apple Store may be coming to The Greene.

The space formerly occupied by Lane Bryant at 4422 Cedar Park Drive is under construction with building permits filed at the county. There is no tenant listed with any of the permits but Apple is listing 12 job openings in Dayton on it’s website.

Kelli Kooken, a spokeswoman for The Greene, declined comment Wednesday morning. Apple responded with a one-sentence statement.

“We have made no announcements about a store in that location,” the spokesperson said.

If an Apple Store does open in Dayton, it would be the first in the area. The closest locations open right now are in the Kenwood Town Centre north of Cincinnati and Easton Town Center in Columbus.

The Greene already has an Apple-oriented tenant in MacTown, which has two area locations. The store sells and services Apple products and accessories.

A representative from MacTown did not immediately return calls.
