DAYTON — WDTN-TV announces the addition of Dayton native Katie Kenney to the Living Dayton team.
Kenney comes to Living Dayton after serving as Dayton’s CW Star where she was the face of the television station’s on-air, online and community initiatives. Over the past year, she has also served as a Living Dayton contributor and fill-in host.
“We are thrilled to have Katie join our Living Dayton family,” said Joe Abouzeid, WDTN-TV President & General Manager. “She’s been outstanding as our Dayton’s CW Star and with her strong ties to the community, will be an asset to the Living Dayton team.”
Kenney was born and raised in Centerville, Ohio and is an alum of Centerville High School. She went on to Miami University and graduated with a degree in Mass Communication.
“I’m honored with the opportunity to join the team as co-host of Living Dayton,” said Kenney. “I consider the Miami Valley a great place to live and raise a family and I can’t wait to do my part to showcase the best that Dayton has to offer.”
Kenney will be joined by co-hosts Shaun Kraisman, Vanessa Freeman and Sallie Taylor beginning Monday, August 25th. Living Dayton airs live each weekday from Noon to 1pm on WDTN-TV.
Kenney and her husband, Scott, have two boys, Beckton and Kalvin, and two golden doodles.
