GREENE COUNTY — The 11th Annual Greene Trails Cycling Classic attracted more than 200 cyclists from around the globe and raised nearly $22,000 to benefit the trail management fund.

The cycling event highlighted a different trail for riders to enjoy each of its four days, July 17 to 20. The event was hosted by Greene County Parks & Trails.

“We raise our funds through event registrations, as well as the generous sponsorships provided by local businesses, individuals and organizations,” Greene County Parks & Trails Director Chrisbell Bednar said. “We also rely on in-kind donations and hundreds of hours of service provided by our team of volunteers. Greene Trails Cycling Classic succeeds due to the efforts of our entire team.”

Next year’s cycling classic will be held July 16 to 20.
