XENIA — Join Greene County Parks & Trails for its on-going Sportsman’s Seminar Series featuring local outdoor professionals and other regional experts that provide the latest information on fishing, boating, hunting and other sporting topics.
“This seminar is one of the most popular sessions we have all year,” said GCP&T Chief Ranger/Operations Director Chuck Frazier. “Our parking lot becomes Lake Ledbetter with all the boats coming for inspection and then we get ready for the spring fishing season by hearing the 2014 forecast.”
The Dayton Sail and Power Squadron will be conducting their annual boat safety inspections beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot on Ledbetter Road. Participants should bring their watercraft to the parking lot prior to the regular meeting. Deb Walters from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will speak beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, in the Greene County Media Room, 541 Ledbetter Road, about the spring fishing forecast.
In addition, a representative from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is tentatively scheduled to provide a brief overview about designating the Little Miami River as a state water trail. All seminars are free and open to the public. For more information about any Greene County Parks &Trails program call 937-562-6440 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
