YELLOW SPRINGS — The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Yellow Springs will be “Growing the Beloved Community” with a program 10 a.m. Sunday, March 30.
Unitarian Universalism demands far more of its adherents than rugged independence. It requires building and sustaining the interdependent web wherever planted. The dicsussion will discuss The Beloved Community that is “rarely embodied by one place, one time, or one group but ever widens its embrace to include outsiders, strangers, the marginalized.” Growing the Beloved Community may be the pre-eminent goal of liberal religious life.
“It’s our reason for existing as a social-spiritual entity, since it speaks to our private hearts while confronting the public world. All are welcome to attend,” said church officials.
Religious education classes are available for youth in preschool to sixth grade, beginning at 10 a.m.
