XENIA — A male vicitim was taken to the hospital early this morning for a non-life threatening gun-shot wound.
Xenia Police Officers responded to 395 N. Columbus St. in reference to a shooting incident at approximately 4:30 a.m.
According to reports, they found that one male victim had been shot one time in the chest. Officers were advised that a black male suspect (an acquaintance) broke down the door and came inside to confront the victim. The victim was reportedly in bed when he was confronted by the suspect.
Officers were advised that the victim was struck with a blunt object prior to being shot. The victim was taken to Greene Memorial Hospital by the Xenia Fire Department. Police said his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
