SILVERCREEK TOWNSHIP — A Jamestown woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton by CareFlight Saturday morning after a two-vehicle crash at the US Route 72 and Plymouth Road intersection.

According to Ohio Highway Patrol trooper Anna Powers, Linda Hudson, 51, was southbound on 72 when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven Jamestown resident Karen Jackson, 44, who failed to stop at a stop sign.

Hudson was unconscious for a short time but was alert and talking when she was transported to the emergency room in Jamestown. Because she had been unconscious, Hudson was transported by CareFlight from the emergency room in Jamestown to Miami Valley Hospital, where she was treated and released.

Powers said Jackson was cited for stop sign and seat belt violations.
