GRANVILLE — Steve Crawford, Denison University’s director of alumni relations, has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to travel to Germany this fall.

Crawford, a 1987 Xenia High School graduate, will study the German higher education system during a two-week program designed specifically for administrators working in alumni relations, development, international education or career development. The goal of the Fulbright International Education Administrators Program is help U.S. international education professionals and senior higher education officials create empowering connections with the societal, cultural and higher education systems of other countries.

“I’m thrilled with this opportunity to study in Germany and to learn from another culture a different way of approaching challenges,” Crawford said. “Participating in the Fulbright program will allow me to grow professionally and give me the tools to encourage students to study off-campus and reap similar rewards.”

Crawford will have the opportunity to learn about Germany’s education system and to establish networks of U.S. and international colleagues. His research will give him an enhanced ability to serve and encourage international students and prospective study-abroad students.
