“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31)

This is a well known Scripture. It is another Word from the Lord that He takes care of His own. Everyone placed on this earth finds challenge after challenge. It is as though we are here to be tested. Life is not easy. One person has said, “It’s a great life if you don’t weaken.” We may not understand exactly what he meant but it appears that for him life was difficult at times. There are ups and down. We win some and we lose some.

That is life, the way it is now, but not the way it was supposed to be. Isaiah shares how one day things will get back to normal from God’s perspective. We who trust Him will rise up with new strength and soar with Him. Our strength will no longer fail because we will be with our Lord for eternity.

Even though this is future it is also present. We can now experience this newness of life because we trust the Lord every step of the way on our Faith Journey. Even though every situation may not bring prefect peace in an outward sense we can have that peace within. This is the promise of our God to us as His Spirit dwells within us.

We soar, we run, we walk because of His strength.

Heavenly Father, we love Your words of encouragement that any present circumstance is only temporary for Your children. You always provide a light at the end of our tunnels.

Actually, You provide light as we go through our tunnels. And in it all we are learning something, even though we may not know what that is. Our hope is always in You, Lord. Renew our strength. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
