Cub Scout Pack 182 and Boy Scout Troop 72 sponsored 14 families for Thanksgiving this year, increasing from about 8 last year. The Scouts collected about $248 in cash and approximately $200 for non-perishable items.

Fundraising Coordinator Wendy Landon went shopping with the Boy Scouts to purchase items not fulfilled in its collection, as well as turkeys, hams, milk, butter, eggs, pies and other traditional Thanksgiving dinner items.
