XENIA — A recount for the Beavercreek City School District school board race will take place per an order by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted. The automatic recount was triggered because the margin of votes cast for a winning candidate was less than one-half of one percent higher than the next candidate. Three candidates are running for two seats in the election.

Current results combined from Greene and Montgomery counties currently stand at: Gene Taylor, 8,978; Peg Arnold, 7,561; and Al Nels, 7,510.

The recount has been set for 9 a.m. Dec. 1, according to Greene County Board of Elections Director Llyn McCoy.
