JAMESTOWN — A pair of county communities are rallying around a sick toddler.

Residents of Cedarville and Jamestown are combining efforts to hold a benefit for the family of Charlotte Caraway, who was diagnosed with bilateral Wilm’s tumors, a form of kidney cancer, in June when she was just 15 months old.

Caraway’s mother, Stephanie, graduated from Cedarville High School while her father, Matt, graduated from Greeneview High School.

The chili dinner and silent auction is being held 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at Cedarville High School.

The event is free but attendees are being encouraged to make a monetary donation for chili. Donations can also be made to the Fierce Charlotte Fund at any US Bank location.

Silent auction items include: Skyline chili basket; bi-plane ride; football autographed by New England Patriots tight end Scott Chandler; two terrace line or four view level Cincinnati Reds tickets; Polaroid L9 Tablet; football signed by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton; baseball signed by Cincinnati Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco; two tickets to Bengals game vs. Baltimore Ravens; two Dollywood tickets and a picture signed by Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer.

There are more than 90 items being auctioned.
