Fourth grade students in Xenia’s gifted program held their 3rd Annual XTAR Young Entrepreneurs’ Project Showcase May 9 at Cox Elementary School. The 77 students learned about the ins and outs of starting a small business and established a business plan, secured a loan and manufactured their own products. The showcase gave them the opportunity to sell their products. The first 10 percent earned goes to a local charity. The rest purchases raw materials for next year’s showcase.
