XENIA — The Xenia Preschool officially opened its new Gross Motor Room during a small ceremony Thursday.

The room, located on the second floor where the library was, has several pieces of equipment that will provide an area for students to develop and strengthen muscles. Students will get time in the room each week, according to school officials.

“It also gives them a chance to develop their coordination and they are loving every minute of it,” Principal Jean Brady said.

Superintendent Denny Morrison praised the new room, and the preschool, which is one of just 11 five star preschools in the Miami Valley.

“This is one more program, one more opportunity for our students,” he said.
