Alissa Jones to speak at Womens Empowerment Summit

FAIRBORN – Springfield native Alissa Jones, author, speaker and founder of Survivors with Voices Foundation will be the keynote speaker during the Women’s Empowerment Summit Saturday, Aug. 8 in Fairborn.

Jones travels around the country speaking to men and women who are sexual assault survivors, helping them to embrace the seen and unseen scars, find a voice and heal. Jones is a sexual assault survivor who turned her “hurt” into help for others. She was recently featured on Fox 26 Houston News during Sexual Assault Awareness Month to talk about Survivors With Voices and her book “The Stones That Built Me Strong,” available on Amazon.

The Women’s Empowerment Summit will take place beginning at 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 2800 Presidential Drive. To register, visit http://www.scharitalacey.com/Calendar.
