XENIA — Xenia Area Community Theater is presenting “The House of Horrors” beginning Friday, Oct. 21.

Written and directed by X*ACT member Tony Copper, the show picks up one year after monsters came together at Castle Dracula. Looking for a chance to pick-up the pieces Victor and Elizabeth Von Frankenstein return to his ancestral home near the Swiss Alps. Soon after arriving they receive word that the Baron’s greatest creation, who has taken to calling himself Adam, is returning home as well.

However, he’s not coming alone. He is bringing with him a young woman named Denise Von Tassel to meet his “parents” and love is in the air. But first the Baron must deal with the needs and wants of other classic movie monsters and madmen before seeing to his own creation’s nuptials. It’s a Comedy of Horrors.

The Opening Night GALA will be 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and will feature light hors d’oeuvres and a wine tasting sponsored by Caesar Creek Vineyards. Additional shows are 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29. The two week run closes with a 3 p.m. matinee Sunday, Oct. 30.

Tickets are available by calling the theater at 937-372-0516 or online through the website XeniaACT.org. General admission tickets are $17, or $14 for seniors and students. Tickets for the Opening Night GALA fund-raiser are $20.
