City holding job fair

XENIA — Hoping to match residents with available jobs, the City of Xenia is holding its 2016 Xenia Job Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.

In conjunction with Ohio Means Jobs-Greene County and the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce, the job fair will showcase companies with open positions, while giving job seekers an opportunity to meet with a variety of companies from various industries.

“We find that many employers have job openings that our residents can fill,” City Manager Brent Merriman said. “We want to work with our partners, Ohio Means Jobs-Greene County and the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce, to present a job fair that will not only highlight employment opportunities in our city and region, but will also improve the quality-of-life for all our residents.”

More than 30 businesses and exhibitors are expected to attend including Clark State Community College, Greene Memorial Hospital, the City of Xenia, Teleperformance, Nuvasive Manufacturing, and HomeCare by Black Stone, First Diversity, Miami Valley Gaming, and the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
