XENIA — Stephen Holton, a senior at Xenia High School, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scout Troop 362.

Holton, who lives in Spring Valley, assisted the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Miami Valley by collecting donations. He began by distributing fliers in two Xenia neighborhoods and to the members of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church. The fliers consisted of a letter from Holton and a list of supplies the Ronald McDonald House needed. He collected approximately 600 items including food items, toiletries, games and gift cards to local stores.

Holton is on the Xenia varsity soccer and wrestling teams and is a member of the Spring Valley Township Fire Department’s Explorers program.

After graduation he plans on attending Wilmington College where he will study agriculture. He also plans on obtaining his certification and training to be a fireman and paramedic.
