HUBER HEIGHTS – More than 100,000 Ohio veterans rely on food pantries and meal services to feed themselves and their families. This fall, Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) is running the Veterans Food Drive to help veterans and their families in need of food assistance.
From Labor Day through Thanksgiving, Military Veterans Resource Center will collect non-perishable food items and personal care items and distribute them to veteran and service member families. Items can be dropped off at MVRC, located at 5420 Brandt Pike, Huber Heights. Monetary donations are also welcome, and can be made at milvetsrc.org/donate.
“Last year, we provided over 32,000 meals to Ohio veterans and their families,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. “Food has become one of the most important services we provide veterans and running the Veterans Food Drive this fall will help us help more vets.”
