Meeting rescheduled

BELLBROOK — The regularly scheduled Aug. 25 meeting of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Park District has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Center, 2751 Washington Mill Road.

Road closures

GREENE COUNTY — The Greene County Engineer’s Office has announced the following road closures for road work:

The bridge on Hollingsworth Road in Caesarscreek Township will be closed for approximately two weeks to repair the bridge beginning Aug. 29. The closure will be between Paintersville-New Jasper Road and Mt. Carmel Road.

All scheduled closures are subject to weather conditions. All projects are contingent on weather. For more information about these projects contact the engineer’s office at 937-562-7500.

Budget hearings

XENIA — The 2017 budget hearings for the park districts, townships, cities and villages will be held 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 with the last hearing scheduled 11:45 a. m. in the Greene County Auditor’s conference room, second floor, 69 Greene Street.

Zoning commission

SPRING VALLEY TOWNSHIP – The Spring Valley Township Zoning Commission has scheduled meetings for 2016. They will be held 6 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Spring Valley Township Office, 2547 US Route 42 South. All meetings are open to the public.

Cedar Cliff board

CEDARVILLE — Unless otherwise noted, regular Cedar Cliff Local Board of Education meetings are the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Cedar Cliff Local Board Room. Special notices will announce variation of these meetings.

Volunteers sought

XENIA — The Xenia Food Pantry needs volunteers. The volunteers work one time per month, a shift is three and half hours in length and is either in the morning or afternoon. There is no heavy lifting involved in any of the three positions. To help the Pantry call 937-372-8441 and leave name, telephone number, and the someone will be in contact. A further explanation of the positions will be given at that time. The Pantry is located on Ledbetter Road behind the county building.
