News-Current Report

BEAVERCREEK — Designed for ‘kids’ of all ages, the Jeremy Lovely Nature PlayScape at Greene County Parks & Trails’ Russ Nature Reserve in Beavercreek has had some refurbishing thanks to park volunteer and master woodworker Dave West. The checkerboard set (shown) has been recrafted and sealed to protect it from the elements.

West, shown center, was glad to join a checker game in process this week. Several musical instruments have also been created by West from wood found on the property. Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, offers 90 acres of green space with hiking trails, bee apiary, bluebird trail, bat house, small pond, high-fence garden as well as the nature playscape. For more information call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937- 562-6440 or email info@gcparkstrails.com.
