YELLOW SPRINGS — The Glen Helen Raptor Center will release young owls into the wild at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25. The annual summer Raptor Release Event will take place at the School Forest Meadow and will feature numerous owls on display, including a screech owl, great horned owl and barn owl. Visitors will have an opportunity to experience native owl species and witness the release of young screech owls into the wild.

Seating is not provided for the event, but visitors can bring blankets and chairs to provide a comfortable viewing experience. The event is free and open to the public, but donations are highly encouraged as they help to provide care and feeding of resident raptors, underwrite education programs, provide medication and medical supplies for raptor rehabilitation, and assist in the maintenance of the Raptor Center.
