GREENE COUNTY — A culvert replacement project is set to close State Route 72 beginning Monday for five days. The roadway will be closed beginning at 7:30 a.m. June 15, just north of Interstate 71.

The detour for northbound 72 traffic is south on I-71 to north on US Route 68 to east on US ROute 35 to State Route 72. Southbound 72 traffic will use the reverse detour. The detour is an additional 21 miles or approximately 20 minutes.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming full closure.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
