XENIA — A pair of Greene County students received scholarships during a recent meeting of the Greene County Retired Teachers’ Association.

Emily Witkin of Bellbrook High School and Amber Ankrom of Beavercreek High School each received $1,000 to help with college costs. Colon also said that the Greene County Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project, which has been supported by United Way, Greene County Memorial Hospital, and Greene County Community Foundation, has attained the largest growth in Ohio in distribution of books to kids 5 and under.

The fall meeting and luncheon of the GCRTA will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 at United Memorial Presbyterian Church. All retired Greene County educators are welcome.
