GREENE COUNTY — Culvert replacement will require closing State Route 72 for five days.

Beginning June 8, State Route 72 will be closed between Interstate 71 and Jamestown. The detour for northbound State Route 72 traffic will be south on I-71 to north of U.S. 68 to east on U.S. 35 to State Route 72. Southbound 72 traffic will use the reverse detour. The detour is an additional 21 miles and approximately 19 minutes long.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
