BELLBROOK — The Bellbrook Historical Museum announces the first in the series of summer lectures celebrating important, interesting and entertaining events of past 200 years in the nation’s history.

The first lecture will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday April 26. Sylvia Miller from the Ohio Humanities Council in Columbus will be speaking. Her subject will be titled The National Road, A Ride Through Time, as told with slides, audio recordings and live music.

This five part series is entirely free and open to the public. All lectures in the series are to be held in the Bellbrook Methodist Church, 47 E. Franklin St.

Other lectures to follow include: May 17 – The Story of The United States Colored Troops; June 21 – The First Trans-Continental Automobile Journey; July 19 – Martin Luther King, The Time is Right to do Right; Aug. 16 – Drones in Dayton.
