BEAVERCREEK — The final touches have completed at the Village at the Greene’s newly renovated and expanded facility located across the street from The Greene shopping center at 4381 Tonawanda Trail.

The two phased project allowed the facility to complete rebuild while remaining operational during the construction. Phase One was completed last year.

The new facility was shown off during their December open house. During the open house, Christmas trees were decorated and sold to the highest bidders, with the proceeds going to Feed the Creek. Together with the Christmas auction and the recent Valentine’s Day balloon sale, the facility was able to donate over $1,300 to Feed the Creek.

“It’s important to the residents, their families and to Village at the Greene that we give back to the community,” Village at the Greene Administrator and Marketing Manager Denise Skevington said. “We have an advisory board that is helping us connect with and give to the community. The advisory board is made up of 15 members, including the Beavercreek Mayor.”

The addition allowed the senior facility to add an additional 22 long-care resident rooms, 28 short-term beds for rehabilitation patients, inpatient and outpatient rehab facility, newly renovated administration offices, sitting and visiting areas, conference rooms and even a free community room available for not only the residents and families of same, but also the Beavercreek community.

“We’re giving something that is so gorgeous to the community and to aging seniors. We’re very proud of it,” Skevington said.

The community room is available for free for anyone that is part of the community. It can be used for business meetings, baby showers, birthday parties or anything needing a large room. The space includes dishes, stemware, sink, tables, chairs and even an outside barbeque area.

“When it gets warmer, we’re hoping to open up the community room and have a barbeque for the community using this room,” she said.
