XENIA — Xenia Area Community Theater is holding auditions for it’s February performance of “Same Time, Next Year.”

Auditions will take place 7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 21-22. One male and one female are needed. The auditions are cold readings from the script and no preparation is required. Show dates are Feb. 3-12, 2017.

Directed by Cheryl Dern, “Same Time, Next Year” is considered one of the funniest romantic comedies ever made. Doris and George meet, fall in love and agree to meet again once a year. One problem: they are both happily married to other people. Over the course of 26 years, both see births, deaths and go through life’s many changes which only brings them closer to each other.

Originally a 1975 play written by Bernard Slade, it was made into a movie in 1978 and starred Ellen Burstyn (who also starred in the original Broadway production) and Alan Alda.
