DAYTON — The Dayton Schuster Center will be kicking off the New Year with Broadway musical 42nd Street running from Tuesday, Jan. 10 through Sunday, Jan. 15.

42nd Street is the classica American Dream story met with comedy, song and dance. This musical comedy includes some of the greates songs to come out of Broadway, such as, “We’re in the Money,” I Only Have Eyes for You, “42nd Street,” and so much more.

Based on a novel by Bradford Ropes and Busby Berkeley’s 1993 film adaptation, 42nd Street, follows star-struck dancer, Peggy Sawyer, as she leaves her small town to acheive her dreams of making in big on Broadway. When the leading lady can’t go on, Peggy finally gets her shot to become a star.

This sparkling new production is directed by co-author Mark Bramble and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the creative team who staged the 2001 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival.
