XENIA — Residents who love to garden, love to learn and love to volunteer are invited to join Greene County Parks & Trails to spring clean the display gardens at James Ranch Park, 177 Fairgrounds Road from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays, May 13, 20 and 27.
“We’ll be tilling the beds, cutting back winter growth and placing new plants in the ground,” said Greene County Parks & Trails Chief Naturalist Cris Barnett. “If you have garden tools, bring them along. If not, we’ll have some available to use as well.”
A few plots are also available for individual gardeners to tend as well; a naturalist will help determine the types of plants and theme. Current display gardens include an enabling garden, phenology garden, children’s garden, perennial garden, herb garden, xeriscaping garden and more.
For more information on volunteering at the James Ranch Park site, call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937-562-6440 or email email@example.com.
