XENIA — The Xenia Rotary held their Four Way Test Speech Contest at the auditorium of Xenia Christian High School on Feb. 23. Each contestant authored and gave a four to six minute speech addressing an ethical problem using the principles of Rotary’s Four Way Test. The test includes: Is it the Truth?, Is it Fair to all concerned?, Will it build Goodwill and better friendships? Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?
The judges included: Rotarians Mayor Marsha Bayless, City of Xenia Development Director Steve Brodsky and Greene County Health Commissioner Melissa Howell.
First place winner Brooke Anderson of Cedarville High School was awarded $400. Runner up Joshua Brooks from Xenia Christian High School was awarded $300. Third place Caroline Clauson from Xenia Christian High School was awarded $200. And fourth place winner Naomi Reisner from Greene County Career Center was awarded $100.
Winner Brooke Anderson will represent Xenia Rotary at the Rotary District competition on March 30 at Wright State University.
