WILBERFORCE — Ohio House of Representatives Minority Leader Tracy Maxwell Heard will be the keynote speaker at the 158th Founder’s Day Observance at Wilberforce University Tuesday, Feb. 18.
A former minority whip, Maxwell Heard represents Ohio’s 26th District, which includes eastern and southern portions of Columbus. The Democrat has represented that district since 2006.
Founder’s Day not only commemorates the university’s 158-year history, it also comes in advance of a new chapter for Wilberforce, which will soon inaugurate a new president.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the university’s Alumni Multiplex, 1055 N. Bickett Road in Wilberforce.
