SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP — Explore the rarely open to the public Crooked Creek Nature Preserve from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at the preserve located at 2565 Spahr Road on a relaxing winter hike.
Create a new Valentine’s Day tradition this year and enjoy a romantic self-guided winter stroll through a wooded trail lit by candlelight. Dine on luscious cupcakes and linger by the cozy fire within the preserve’s log cabin. Couples will be provided with decadent chocolates to take home as well.
“Crooked Creek Nature Preserve is a beautiful park that offers a rolling, woodland setting,” says Greene County Parks & Trails Chief Naturalist Cris Barnett. “Spending an evening under the moonlight and in front of a cabin fire would be a wonderful new Valentine’s Day tradition.”
