Wingo, Carman wed in September ceremony

XENIA — Elaine Yvonne Wingo and Joel Murrell Carman were united in marriage 4:30 p.m. Sept. 7, 2013 ceremony at the First Church of the Nazarene in Xenia. Pastor Steven Ambrose officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of James and Sandra Wingo Jr. of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of Donald and Jennifer Stryker of Wilmington and Jerri Wingo of Wilmington. The groom is the son of Michael and Jo Carman of Xenia.

Jessica Halye of Jamestown, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor while Chelsea Woodruff of Sabina, a friend of the bride, and Sarah Kitchen of Huber Heights, sister of the groom, were the bridesmaids. Lucy Kitchen, niece of the groom, was the flower girl while Jack DeHart, a friend of the couple, was the ring bearer.

The groom was assisted by Zach Drake of Xenia, friend, as bestman while the groomsmen were Harrison Watts of Xenia, friend of the groom, and Lance Livesay of Xenia, friend of the groom. Joseph Jenkins of Xenia, a friend of the groom, and Isaac Wingo of Wilmington, brother of the bride, were the ushers.

Dr. Brannon Hancock, a friend of the bride’s family, was the pianist while Nate Laughhunn, friend of the bride, was the soloist.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Xenia Nazarene Christian School and a 2013 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. She is employed at Country View Pet Hospital as a registered vet tech. Her husband is a 2005 graduate of Xenia High School and a 2010 graduate of the Criminal Justice Academy at the Greene County Career Center. He is employed as a deputy with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

Following the ceremony, a reception with dinner and dancing was held at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington. The couple honeymooned in Puna Cana, Dominican Republic. They will live in Wilmington.
