XENIA — Learn the etiquette of fine dining from an international expert while enjoying a delicious six-course meal at the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce seminar “Shine While You Dine III.”
The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at the Greene County Career Center (GCCC).
The much-awaited etiquette seminar returns for a third year. The seminar is again hosted by Sam Whilding, former Chief of Protocol at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and served by Chef Dan Towson and his GCCC Culinary Arts students. This seminar is so popular that it has sold out the previous two years in a row.
Reservations should be made early to avoid the waiting list for this event.
Whilding will illustrate how to give a proper toast and how to introduce others as well as how to sip soup. Between the teaching moments, Whilding always shares stories from his travels with world leaders and years with the Air Force.
The six-course gourmet meal includes braised short ribs and Italian sausage with vegetables, fried ravioli with warm Marinara sauce, roasted fruit with Bourbon sauce and more.
The seminar is a fun and stress-free way to learn the etiquette of fine dining, whether for a business meal or planning one’s own dinner party. It is also a great refresher for the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner in February.
The cost is only $20 for Chamber members. Seating is limited to the first 30 registrants, with reservations required before January 24. The cost for non-members is $50.
